The 7th edition of the Summer Retreat for young arbitration practitioners from around the world goes to Switzerland.

This year, the capacity building seminar will be set in the relaxed atmosphere of a historic and idyllic guesthouse above Lake Zurich.

As always, the retreat is an ideal opportunity to network and strengthen personal relationships.​

HAROLD FREY

Harold Frey is a Partner at Lenz & Staehlin and leads the firm's Litigation and Arbitration practice in Zurich. With decades of experience, he has represented clients in several hundred international arbitrations and court litigations, focusing on corporate and M&A disputes, as well as energy and construction matters. He regularly handles cases involving states and state-owned companies.

MICHÈLE REINHARDT 

Michèle Reinhardt is a Senior Associate in the Zurich office of LEXR. As member of the firm's Corporate & VC Transactions team, she advises Swiss and international founders, startups, and investors at every stage of a company’s lifecycle – from incorporation and financing to exit strategies.

 

Prior to joining LEXR, Michèle was part of the dispute resolution team at Schellenberg Wittmer, where she represented clients in complex commercial disputes before state courts. She also contributed to an Innosuisse-funded research project in robotics at the Institute for Law of Innovation and Technology at the University of St. Gallen, blending her legal skills with a passion for tech innovation.

KATHARINA RIEDL

Katharina Riedl is Senior Legal Counsel at Kwizda and Delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR representing ICC Austria.

 

Prior to joining Kwizda, she served as Country Head Legal & Compliance Officer at Implenia. Before moving in-house, Katharina spent several years in private practice, specializing in dispute resolution at leading law firms Baker McKenzie and SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz in Austria and Germany. She was recognized in the Legal500 GC Power List Austria 2022.

NATHALIA SCHOMERUS

Nathalia Schomerus is the Legal Innovation Lead at Legora, where she develops collaborative AI solutions for the legal sector, focussing on key clients, strategy, and knowledge engineering. Legora is a collaborative AI platform for lawyers.

Its aim is to help lawyers work more efficiently, accurately, and devote more time to complex problem solving and high-impact, strategic work.

Prior to joining Legora, Nathalia was Head of AI at Germany’s largest law firm.

She previously founded a start-up that earned her a place on Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe, worked briefly at a major management consultancy, and spent several years in academia in the UK and Israel. She studied law, theology, and economics, and graduated with a master’s from the University of Oxford as a Clore Graduate Scholar.

ROXANA SHARIFI

Roxana Sharifi is an associate at CMS Zurich specialising in international arbitration, litigation, insolvency and corporate matters. With experience before the ICC, SAC and NAI, she advises clients in established sectors such as automotive, energy, healthcare and banking, as well as emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

 

Having been trained on the Harvard Negotiation Method, Roxana pursues a pragmatic, economically informed approach to dispute resolution. Her expertise in both Swiss and German law allows her to adopt a distinctive perspective on cross-border matters. Roxana is an advocate for innovation at the intersection of law and technology and leads CMS Switzerland's Artificial Intelligence Task Force.

TIM ROBERT ZANDER

Tim Robert Zander is a coach, trainer and consultant as well as a Swiss university lecturer specializing in agility and resilience. He specializes in sustainable transformation in regulated industries. After completing a bachelor's degree in sciences, he consciously decided to specialize in economics in his master's degree in order to become effective at the interface between organizations and people.

Today, he supports organizations, teams and managers in times of change - with a particular focus on sustainable forms of work in complex environments. As a lecturer at Erasmus University Basel, working with companies ranging from start-ups to corporations, and as an author, he teaches modern working methods - practice-oriented, interactive and with a clear attitude. His ideas combine sound knowledge with methodological diversity and a large portion of creative joy.

The Summer Retreat takes place at Bocken: a seminar hotel set in the relaxed atmosphere of a historic and idyllic guesthouse in Horgen, above Lake Zurich. 

Bocken has a limited number of available rooms.

Participants are requested to make their own accommodation arrangements Please contact Bocken or any other hotel of your choosing directly.
